AS7263 Sensor

Can I use AS7263 NIR for detecting Soil organic matter and soil micronutrients specially Manganese compound? The result will be process through machine learning. I have a soil data from lab and this data used as a calibration.

You might be able to detect compounds that have distinctive features in the absorbance spectrum.

For example, manganate anion (MnO4-) absorbs strongly at 520 nm, so solutions containing manganate appear purple to the human eye.

Thankyou for your answer! Been struggling to find sensors that capable of predicting Mn content in soil. I think as7263 can do the job except using ISE probes

You should do some more research. If your main interest is Mn, it is present in several oxidation states in soil and many of them do not absorb light in the visible or near IR region. But they can react with compounds that allow photometric measurements, e.g. with potassium periodate (KIO4) to form manganate.
