As7265X with RS485

Hi

I need to communicate from PC to AS7265x via RS485. Is it a TTL to RS485 converter I can use? Is it a communication protocol and commands available?

Hello Hong.

We have a TTL serial to RS-485 breakout that might work for you. We don’t have a tutorial on how to use it with the AS7265x though.

Part number is [BOB-10124 if you want to have a look. These do need an RTS pin on the serial side to switch between transmit and receive if you’re using them bi-directionally and I don’t think the AS7265x has that. You might be able to use 2 pairs of them to get full duplex communication over 2 pairs of wire though.](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10124)
