ATMega328P

All good now. I found that the verification error being set to 7 is not an issue. Thank you all for your help!

Hi guys,

I have another programming question. I need to program an AD9835 chip. I have the .hex file. I have a tiny avr programmer. And i have the avrdude software to flash the software. what I don’t know about is how to connect my ad9835 to my tiny programmer. the pin labels on the ad985 don’t match what i have on the programmer. any thoughts or links to videos would be super helpful. as always, thank you!!!

adam

Hi adam.

I’m not seeing anything in the datasheet for the AD9835 that would indicate you can load it with a hex file at all. Even if you could, the tiny programmer only works with AVR microcontrollers from Microchip. (Atmel)

Are you sure the hex file you have isn’t for an ATmega and that connects to your AD9835?

I think you are probably right.

I suck at this and am still having problems.

I need to flash a .hex file to the ATMega328P. I wired up my Tiny Programmer like before and now it won’t communicate again. I run the Board Detector sketch (Sketch>Upload Using Programmer) and get the following error:

Arduino: 1.8.19 (Windows 10), Board: “Arduino Uno”

Sketch uses 27240 bytes (84%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32256 bytes.

Global variables use 330 bytes (16%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1718 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.
