Atmel programmer

Hi,

I’m looking for an inexpensive programmer to burn Atmel’s SPLD’s–the 16V8’s, 20V8’s, and 22V10’s. I know this doesn’t exactly belong in this forum but I don’t know where else to put it. I’ve heard that it is possible to program them using a PicStart, but I can’t find out how. I don’t know if it is true.

It shouldn’t be too hard to program these, but everything I find on the net is a commercial progammer that costs $1000 of more. I don’t have that kind of money and I really think that you ought to be able to do it for much less.

Can anyone help me?

I haven’t used the circuit in the link here, http://elm-chan.org/works/pgal/report_e.html, but it is the best one i have found as a low cost solution. I have been meaning to get around to trying it, but i don’t seem to have any time.

If you do decide to try it, let us know about your results.
