Babysitter Charging current

Hello

I have a query about the babysitter charging current. I have connected a laboratory power supply to the Vin input of the device and a LiPo 18650 3500mAh battery in the battery connector.

The charging current does not exceed 300mA (measurement of the display of the power supply) with the switches at 1.5Amp mode. The power supply is not limiting.

What happens, where are the 1.5Amps?

  • - You need to measure current to the battery, not to the board.
  • - If the battery isn't that discharged, the current won't be at the maximum value.
  • - There could be a protection device in the battery that's limiting charge current.
