Hi,

I’m trying to get a BlueSmurf to switch into HID profile. My goal list to try to get it to pair with a 8BitDo Lite controller.

I have followed the instructions:

However when I dump the current status it indicates that it is still in SPP mode.:

From my reading of the documentation, this should work. Any ideas?

A second question will be once I get into HID mode, can I force it to pair with the 8BigtDo controller…

It looks like SrvName is a string you set, it doesn’t get updated by the module when you change modes so it can still say SPP even though you’re in HID mode.

As for connecting the modem to a 8BitDo Lite controller, I don’t know that it’s possible, I’m not seeing anywhere in the data sheet where you can configure the modem to be a HID host, only a HID device. I don’t think it’s possible to connect two HID devices together.
