Hi,
So, I wrote up a brief, un-scientific review of three board houses, mostly to do my own due-diligence as I venture into the PCB world. I thought I’d share it with others who may also be new to this:

I’ve used CustomPCB several times, and I’ve always been happy with their service.

You can order as few as 2 boards, and I always get them in my hands 7 days (including weekend days) after I pay. Considering I’m in New Zealand, that’s pretty quick. As a bonus (for me, at least) they can work straight from Protel files. No messing around with gerbers.
I usually use PCB-Pool for prototypes, fast delivery and excellent quality:

I have used CustomPCB for a small run of boards, they were fine apart from a routed hole being very untidy, they looked as though they had done them manually.
