camera connected to a esp8266

Hello all

I am new to arduino boards, and was curious a friend of mine showed me the ESP8266 which has the built in wifi, what I would like to do and I would assume it is easy is attach a camera to this board run it off of solar power or 9 volt battery , and use it as a wifi access point to where i could connect to it using my iphone for live streaming.

All the board would need to do is send off a wifi signal that i could connect to using the iphone wifi, and then be able to watch the live stream, not for sure what the distance is for the wifi strength but i am sure there a wifi antenna out that might also connect to this device.

so is this possible to do this

For now yes that’s all is that feasible with this board just curious :slight_smile:

Bad assumption.

There are plenty of sites describing ESP8266 projects. You might spend a few minutes looking through them to get an idea of what is possible.
