For example, there is a 16 bit port I2C chip breakout, that Sparkfun populates with a 5v chip. But I’m using 3.3v arduinos. If I could get the blank board I could put in the chip I want.
Or better, could I get adjusted sparkfun boards (e.g. the Venus w/ datalogging uses some weird serial flash chip and isn’t on 0.1 inch centers, or the ADXL345 as H instead of L).
Yes there is a way to receive blank Sparkfun PCB’s. It not as easy as just grabbing one and sending it out to you, but as we are an open-sourced company most of our product pages on Sparkfun.com have the schematics and even the Eagle files for the pcb designs.
There is almost nothing of that kind for the board I want (which you could populate with a 2.5-5v part so I could use it with my 3.3v arduinos, but instead do 5v only):
There are a few projects with actual eagle files, but there are more with PDF schematics, and it would help to have the eagle project for something with lots of wires and routing since I might just want to add or move a few things instead of redoing the entire board (e.g. the Venus GPS modules with RF concerns).
Or simply be able to get the blank boards and get a skillet from Target.
