Can see RooTooth serial service but cannot connect

I recently purchased the RooTooth - Bluetooth® Wireless Roomba Connection (SKU DEV-00684), and I am unable to get it to work now. The device name is FireFly-5EB2.

I am able to pair the device and see it’s serial port service, but when I try to connect, I always Connection Failed.

I have tried this with 2 different Bluetooth USB adapters, so I don’t think it’s them or the software. I also verified that another Rootooth is working with my Roomba, but it all breaks down when I try to use my new Rootooth.

I tried changing the COM port, enabling security, disabling security, and nothing seems to work.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Anyone have suggestions for this?

I have been able to get other Rootooth dongles to work, but not this newer Firefly which won’t even let me create the serial connection with it that would let me change settings.

Any help at all would be appreciated.
