Can someone point me in the right direction, bluetooth!

Hi guys im having an issue and I hope I’ve come to the right place.

To keep it super simple, let’s just say my new project is to create a bluetooth dongle, battery powered and simply has two ports … audio in, and audio out.

This dongle would have B/R LEDs, and a button. The button would put it into pairing mode, and you can connect any standard, generic mono BT headset. Whatever audio source you plug into ‘audio in’ would go to the headset speaker, and ‘audio out’ would come from the headsets microphone.

They come in the form of walkie talkie to BT adapters, and things like that. This isn’t necessarily my application, so those won’t really work. I was really, really, really hoping someone could at least point me to some reading material or the chip to use, or something. All I can find is chips to let me stream music or make some wireless beats by dre headphones or something.

I need a chip that easily pairs to mono headsets. That seems to be all, and I cant find anything!!

Thanks for any help!

Mike

Then maybe there is no single chip that does what you want. Which means you need more than one chip to accomplish your task. If you’ve ever looked at a PCB, then you know there is never just one IC…
