Can someone tell me what this is...?

I am hoping I found the right forum to ask this question… I’ve been everywhere else, and figured this would be the best electronic forum to ask…

My son has a toy from Playskool called “Busy Ball Popper”, and it seems like a trigger type switch is malfunctioning. The way it works is that there is a big red plunger, and the child pushed down on it, and it presses a switch, sort of like a laptop keyboard switch, and it runs the toy, and lasts for maybe 30 seconds or so. Well he used it so much I think he wore it out. In looking at it, it doesn’t seem damaged, but its’ use is intermittent, with the “not working” part winning out. I am including a picture of it, and it has the marking of “G9628-2A”. Of course a Google search came up empty.

So I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask, but I have no idea where else to search… thanks for listening…https://flic.kr/p/RMxD35

(I hope the link works…)
