I got a toy that has some LEDs in it and I put new batteries in and it doesn’t work. So I of course took it apart and found that the LEDs do work but there is a component that isn’t letting voltage go through it. I haven’t seen this component before and was wondering if anyone knows. I think it has something to with making the LEDs blink, but not 100% on that.
That looks like a magnetic reed switch.
Does this toy use a magnet at all?
Yep. So the LED may not work because I didn’t have it next to the magnet in the toy… brb
Yep now it works. Gotta get some button batteries for it. It’s a flying saucer that moves around with a magnetize magnet and has LEDs on the saucer. I’ll post up a vid probably tomorrow after visiting Radio Shack.
Thanks waltr
Ok.
