I have a project in mind where I would like for a Thing Plus to not be powered in any way until a magnet causes a reed switch to close. The Thing Plus would then boot and run my sketch. Is there any reason why a simple [switch like this one and a magnet wouldn’t be suitable for such a requirement?
Thanks,

I think these will work. You will have to power up the board with a Lipo battery through the JST connector. The battery must be connected to the board via the reed switch.
So, in theory, putting the reed switch inline into one of the batterie’s leads to the JST connector is all that should be needed, correct?
