Hi Guys, I am new to Arduino and got the inventors kit for Christmas. I am on tutorial 13 with the relay, the other tutorials went fine and I’ve even done a couple of my own sketches but I have got stuck on this one. It looks like everything is plugged in correctly and the relay is clicking but the pin must not be moving fully because the LEDs aren’t changing which one is lit up, however the LED does dim sightly. Do you think the relay is broken? Has anyone else come across this?
Do you have a multimeter?
I’m in the exact same position (got a SIK for Christmas). I had the same problem and emailed techsupport. Here’s what they said:
Sorry, the image of the diode in the manual is incorrect (the schematic is correct). Try switching the diode around.
Once I switched the diode to the other way around it worked fine.
