Can't get the SparkFun Micro OLED Breakout (Qwiic) to power up

Hey all~

I am trying to get the example sketched working on the SparkFun Micro OLED Breakout (Qwiic) with a Redboard Qwiic/ Redboard Turbo (tried both). I show 3.3v on the open header pins, so I know power is coming from the board, but the OLED doesn’t light up.

At first I thought I had a bad OLED, so I sent for a replacement which Sparkfun happily supplied. Now I have a second one and it is doing the same thing. I am following the hookup guide exactly (I think) but can’t get the board to light up.

Any ideas?

Hi partsoven,

Make sure you are using the latest version of the Micro OLED library found [here. The link in the Hookup Guide seems to be pulling from a previous version of the library so we will look into getting that fixed.

If you still have issues after that, if possible, try testing the Qwiic cable you are using with another Qwiic board as it might be a bad cable. Hopefully, that will fix the issue but if you continue to have issues, please reply to this post and we can troubleshoot further.](GitHub - sparkfun/SparkFun_Micro_OLED_Arduino_Library: Arduino library for the SparkFun Micro OLED - a breakout board for a monochrome, 0.66", 64x48 OLED display.)

Same here, connected OLED (QWII) to sparkfun Thing plus esp32 . Tried updating Library (1.2.5). Code compiles and loads but nothing on the display. Tried multiple cables and Different thing plus also.
