Chinese New Year?!

I just heard on the radio, yesterday was the start of Chinese New Year and remembered my boards sitting in the BatchPCB queue for the last week. After checking, they are still sitting in the “Waiting Panelization” status. This scares me since I know Gold Phoenix doesnt work on Chinese New Year.

Does this mean the boards wont go out for the next 2 weeks? Im freaking out if thats the case!

Thanks,

Brian Evans

Argh!

How many times do we need to say - and post in the faq, and everything: Do NOT use us if you’re on a time constraint!

We are so cheap because we have a) flexible scheduling and b) long leadtimes!

If you need deadlines - use our competitors. Advanced Circuits is great. However, if you want 1 unit, for an unbeatably low price, and can handle the long leadtimes, use us!

Actually - for even somewhat large boards - it is cheaper to use Advanced Circuits if you're a student.

Hey I understand the delay. Please dont take me the wrong way. Ive been very happy with this service and would choose this service over others. I understand the time thing.

All I wanted to know is simply whether their would be an additional 2 week delay. This ISNT covered in a FAQ that Im aware of. It was only looking through Gold Phoenix’s site that I noticed they take Chinese New Year off however they DONT say how many days this is.

I would think when you tell your customers to expect a shipping confirmation in “10-18” days an additional 14 day delay might be something to let us know about. Theres a difference from expecting 3 weeks compared to a possible 5+ week turnaround.

Rather than getting tweaky about what you presuppose to be a n00b question how about an honest answer like, “yeah itll be an additional 2 weeks” or whatever.

Thank you,

Brian

No offence intended, honest!

We usually see a week delay around chinese new year.

Thank you David. Good to know.
