Hey guys…has anybody come up with a clever (or not so clever?) way to mount an Arduino Pro Mini in an enclosure that’s, well, larger than the Mini? That was one thing I loved about the Pro, that it had four holes for mounting on standoffs vs the original Arduino’s three, but I now have a need for the Mini, but can’t figure out a secure and safe way to mount it!
I might just cave and do a custom PCB for what I need (I basically need to fit an Arduino with Ethernet shield into a tight space vertically; I could probably do it with even a Pro, wiring that via ribbon cable to the shield next to it, but that’s getting realllllly tight on space.
Actually, I suppose, same thing goes for how to mount the shield without mounting it on an Arduino…I can strip the headers off and use the extra holes, but of course those aren’t quite large enough for most standoffs, so I’d still have to get cute).
–Andy, who probably should just suck it up and do a custom PCB…
