component distance to v cut

hi

what is the minimum distance needed for a 0.4\0.2 component to the v-cut line ?

same question for 0.2\0.1 component

Depends what component it is.

If its a COG ceramic cap then I’d say 5mm to prevent stress when descoring.

Otherwise its good practice to keep as clear as possible, about 1mm should do.

Depends on your descoring methods & equipment.
