Hi
I bought a bluemate instead of a bluesmirf and now, i still want to use it the bluemsmirf socket because i see it as pretty handy.
Of what i understand (and i dont expect to understand anything about this kind of stuff except that i wish to learn more about it) is that i can connect the bluetooth mate to the socket if i do the following:
Bluetooth mate Protoshield BlueSmirf Socket
PIN1[N/A]
PIN3[VCC]---------------------->PIN2[5V]
PIN1[GND]---------------------->PIN3[GND]
PIN4[TX]----------------------->PIN4[RX]
PIN5[RX]----------------------->PIN5[TX]
PIN6[N/A]
PIN2[CTS] -- Not used
PIN6[RTS] -- Not used
I also read in different comments that you connect CTS->RTS, but i coldnt understand why this was done/if i needed it.
Have i missed something?
Im going to communicate with the arduino using amarino (android → audrino)
