BlueSMiRF socket?

Hello,

I’m planning on buying the BlueSMiRF Gold (http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc … cts_id=582) for use with the Andruino Arduino Duemilanove. I was looking at proto shields and I was confused by the description of the ProtoShield Kit (http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc … ts_id=7914) because it says it included a BlueSMiRF socket? Isn’t that just be a 6 pin connector? Am I missing something here. I plan on only rigging the Bluetooth and a single sensor so I don’t think the ProtoShield is necessary for my project but the BlueSMiRF socket got me wondering. Using breakaway connections, I can just plug the BlueSMiRF Gold directly into the Andruino, right? Sorry if this is a noob question, I’m a noob.

Thanks,

Jacob

I’m a noob too. Hopefully we will both get some help.

I purchased a BlueSMiRF Gold recently to use w/ the Arduino Duemilanove and am not sure how exactly to connect the two.

For my prototype, can I use regular jumper wires that run from the Arduino to the BlueSMiRF that terminate in a solderless breadboard?

Man, we are noobs!

I did a little research, and that set-up looks right to me.
