I’m using the GM862 w/ the EVK3 evaluation board and I’m not having any luck yet powering the module. With antenna and SIM card both in the device, the module powers up but then shuts down automatically after a few seconds. Do I need to provide auxiliary power through the onboard barrel jack? If so, voltage level power supply should I use? Also, if I use an external power supply, can I still communicate with the module through the USB interface? Do I need to disconnect any of the jumpers to use auxiliary power in combination with the USB serial?
