Hi,
I am trying to use the official kernel release 2.6.21 with the CS-9302 board. It seems that the kernel does not recognize the “new” chip KSZ8721BL. Should it work or do I need to write a driver (or apply a patch…)?
Thanks
Luca

2.6.21 is not working well
what works stabile is 2.6.17, unfortunately it doesn’t work by default with our board as supplied by Cirrus
we’ll upload on our web the kernel with our patch to work with our board
all new boards are shipped with CDs with 2.6.17 image and sources.
Best regards
Tsvetan
Thanks,
Luca
P.S. Do you have an idea on why the 2.6.21 does not work? I have tried to take a look but I have not yet found the problem…
I have tried the kernel 2.6.17.14 and it does not contain the right processor/target support in the sources (do I need a specific patch?). In the CD I have received I only have kernel 2.6.8.1+patch that does not compile correctly.
Where could I found the kernel 2.6.17 (with patches?) you was talking about?
Thanks
Luca
I am available to collaborate to fix the problem for the lan driver (as the other main devices seems to work) on the kernel 2.6.21. The board I have is quite useless without a kernel that I can recompile.
Could you give me some help (e.g. any idea where the problem comes from?)? Do you have more specifications about the board? Do you have the kernel configuration used to build the kernel in flash?
Regards,
Luca
I have found and fixed the ethernet kernel problem. Now it works.
If someone is interested I have made a patch…
Luca

Hi, which kernel are you using? Do you have the kernel log?
Luca
Hi Luca,
I’m interested in your LAN patch for kernel 2.6.21 for the EP9302 board (where can I download it? ) , I guess they still have the same problem now in kernel 2.6.25,…
Thanks a lot,
Alejandra
