Custom 3watt Led build

Hello,

I am looking to build a small custom led light for an aquarium using the Sparkfun 3 watt neutral and cool white Leds. I will be running 2 of each as it is a small aquarium. I planned on using the FemtoBuck to run the 4 leds, but am struggling a bit on how to run this and what options I may have for dimming, Ideally if I can use a single power supply to run the leds along with an Arduino UNO r4 wireless board, that would be preferred, but am unsure exactly how this would would work or the best way to connect these. I am a beginner at this and would like to learn more about how to know how to calculate the proper power supply compatible with this.

You basically need to add up all of the devices’ power needs and go from there….it should be at least ~12w + arduino’s need, but I usually like a decent amount of head-room (I’d get at least a 15w or more)….while a femtobuck would work to drive EACH channel of the LED, there are 3 channels per LED, so you’d need 12 femtobucks total (3 each x 4 LEDs) - I’d probably take a look at other options (we don’t carry many currently!)
