Please can you advise: Do you have equipment which we can buy to desolder the following transformer off an 18 layer PCB?
It does not matter if the transformer is destroyed, but the PCB, and the other components on it, should not be damaged during the desoldering of this transformer
I would be dismantling the transformer so that I can heat individual pads and remove them one at a time.
Adding more solder while heating to make the solder in the holes melt while the pin is removed, then that leave it to be removed with sodlering wick rather than a solder sucker.
Except it looks like this part is SMT. Once removed you would need to clean the pads one at a time. But now that the part is gone it should be a fairly simple task.
