Digital audio transmission

I am getting into voice transmission over digital wireless links. Having used the Chipcon CC1110 transceiver for data transmission with great success, it seems like a natural starting place.

There are a number of design notes for wireless audio on the TI site, but I was wondering if anyone else has had some success with these or similar chips and digital audio. I have also been looking at the Silabs SI3000 for voice codec. I believe they use the I2S protocol.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

The nRF24Z1 from Nordic is worth a look. I just finished up a second revision of a breakout for it (the first one didn’t work properly) that I should have on sale shortly.
