There are a bunch of RTC examples in the Arduino IDE, at least in core 1.2.0. Ensure an Artemis board is selected, then go File → Examples → (under “Examples for Sparkfun Artemis XXX”) → RTC

Be warned though I think some of the functions changed between core 1.2.0 and 2.x.x (ie. parameter order)
