Does lowering baud rate on RN-41 mean longer range?

I purchased the RN-41 and installed it in my vehicle as a remote start when it pairs with my cell phone. The range doesn’t seem that great (50’-60’ most) I was expecting 100’+. If I set the baud rate on the lowest setting, will it help for further range? Just a thought.

No, the bluetooth protocol works on a certain high frequency band. (2.4 GHz) Has nothing to do with setting baud rate.

Setting a lower baud rate would allow for longer serial cable/wires between that bluetooth module and your pc or microcontroller. Atleast, it would be less susceptible to signal loss on the wires. But I doubt you’ll need meters/dozens of feet for that. Afterall, you want a wireless solution.

If the module is built with an appropriate connector then connecting different antenna might help increase range. But I’m not really knowledgable in that. (doesn’t seem like it, it’s a chip antenna)
