Eagle not recognizing the sparkfun cam file

Hi all,

I am trying to export my pcb design in eagle for fabrication. I have two issues:

  1. When i use the cam processor to generate the gerber files (gerber 274x) i just get two files xxx and xxx.gpi, not the seven mentioned in the sparkfun eagle tutorial http://www.sparkfun.com/tutorials/109

  2. So i tried to use the sparkfun cam file provided in the same tutorial, i copied it to the eagle/cam directory but the cam file does not show up in the list of “devices” in the cam processor menu. I have tried restarting eagle and it still does not show up.

Please help.I am using eagle 6.1 on a mac.

I don’t know anything about the MAC version of Eagle but the general steps you need to follow are to click the “CAM” button while you have your .brd file open. From the CAM processor you would click the equivalent of “File->Open->Job.” When the open CAM job menu pops up, you would guide it to wherever you saved the sfe-gerb274x.cam file.

I also have no idea if the .cam file will run in the MAC environment.
