Eagle part forSparkfun resistors

I’m a newby trying to get started with Eagle. My schematic includes several of the 1/4 watt PTH resistors from the Sparkfun resistor kit:

The “type” according to the web page is RK2501

  1. What would be the correct Eagle part for this resistor?

  2. How would I figure that out? I assume the RK2501 has something to do with the packaging, but what?

Thanks!

Hi,

All you really need to care about is the pad-to-pad spacing, and the pad hole diameter. For a 1/4W resistor I use a footprint that is 0.4 from pad center to pad center. The pad holes should be 0.039" or thereabouts. If you browse the

‘RCL’ library, you’ll find a couple that fit the bill!
