Eagle Parts Confusion

When I’m in the schematic, I can’t find the parts in the SFE Eagle Library that I want, but when I’m in the board, I can. However, I can’t add them to the board (cannot back-annotate error).

I know I’m doing something fundamentally wrong, but I don’t know what. Any suggestions? (The part is a TSSOP-28 footprint)

I’ve had this a few times, use wildcards when searching in the schematic editor. The * can be used either side of the search term, so I would recommend searching TSSOP then scrolling through to find the one you want.
