Hey everyone,
On the website, the EasyDriver V3 is shown fabbed on a green piece of silicon. The EasyDriver V3 I received a few weeks ago is red.
I’m having some issues getting it to work, even though I’ve followed every instruction I can find both here and elsewhere on the Internet. In every example video, tutorial, etc, the EasyDriver used is green. Mine is red.
The issues I’m having are subtle, and have proven very difficult to track down and describe.
The only way I can get it to step reliably is through a pushbutton directly to the +V rail. I’ve tried at least three different circuits to isolate the output of the micro, but as soon as I put a anything (even a resistor) between the STEP input and the +V rail, it refuses to step.
My best guess is that on this most recent version of the board (the red one), the input circuit on the STEP pin has very low impedance, far too low for use on a microcontroller like my LPC2106 ARM board.
Has anyone had issues with this new rev of the EasyDriver board?
Thanks,
