ENS160 energy management strategy

What will be the recommended / optimal energy management strategy for ENS160?

according to specification "after iddle periods or power-off. Typically, the ENS160 requires 3 minutes of warm-up until reasonable air quality readings can be expected.

Does it mean that I need to decide if I want to:

a) have energy efficiency limiting reading frequency significantly below 3 minutes?

b) or have frequent AQI readings accepting no high power consumption?

Is there any way to achieve accurate readings every 30 - 45s with power consumption limitation?

I’m using this ENS160 sensor in a bigger battery-powered sensor (AQI, PM2,5 + PM10, pressure, temperature, humidity) so I’m interested in optimizing power consumption of every component.

After the initial 48 hour burn in period, turning the sensor off will require 3 minute warmup before any readings will be any good.

The reason for this is the sensing element needs to be at a specific temperature for it to work. The only way to keep it at that temperature is through the use of heaters built into the chip and those heaters require power to maintaintemperature.

Unfortunately you have to keep the thing always on or keep it powered for at least 3 minutes before taking any readings.

thanks for the reply. So It need to be always turned on if I want to take frequent reedings. No power management then :frowning:
