ESP32 Thing Plus WiFi won't be recognized by WiFi example software

I have loaded “scannetworks”, fixed a problem about firmware call, and compiled and uploaded the software. I then get an error message back that says “WiFi shield not present”.

Could the problem be the call in the sketch

"Circuit:

  • WiFi shield attached".

Do need to change this wifi shield attached and if so, to what?

I have not found any forum questions similar and hope this is the correct place to ask it.

Where did you find the example scannetworks? Is it this one on GitHub made by espressif? https://github.com/espressif/arduino-es … FiScan.ino

It was and I have found that even though I had once declared the adafurit feather it had gone back somethong else. When I redclared the feather bd , I was able to get past that hurdle. Sorry it took me so long to realize you had responded.
