Hi,

I was wondering if anyne had any experience with this board.

Ethernet Interface Board - ENC28J60

I am new to using this type of hardware (microcontrollers, and ic’s in general) and I am trying to learn how to use this stuff. I am trying to figure out if I need a microcontroller board to use the board above or if I can use it stand alone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That board only has the ENC28J60 on it. You will need an MCU and TCP/IP stack. Microchip makes suitable PICs and has free TCP/IP software.

Lantronix makes similar modules with everything required on them.
