How about a Ethernet breakout board based on the PIC 18F67J60 series micro? Ideally, it would contain 3.3v and 5v power supply, the ISP header, magnetics for network connection, external eemem for web page storage and some prototype area for sensor input.
Microchip has a free TCP/IP stack with a http server.
Others are doing this but I bet Sparky could do it better
