Expanding on the Bluetooth Serial Link

Theoretically the BT Serial link should replace a serial cable between the computer and the device which the computer is controlling (for instance computer control of a Uniden BC796D scanner).

Expanding on that, would it be possible (theoretically) to use the BlueRadio to control the same device with, say, a bluetooth enabled PDA such as the Palm TX?

I guess so: an application on the PDA could send command as if it were a standard COM port, and the protocol (i.e which commands do what) is up to you…
