Extreme Weatherproof Projects?

Hi all,

I’m building a NeoGeo Watch from Adafruit that I’d like to bring to Burning Man:

Burning Man occurs in the desert, in extreme temperatures, wind, and dust, and I’d like to figure out how to bring my watch there.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how I could weatherproof it?

I was considering potting using epoxy, but am concerned about how it would affect the electronics (i.e. GPS reception, compass, etc)?

Any ideas?

As long as the epoxy doesn’t have a metal filler (i.e. use clear epoxy), it will be fine. Also check out craft stores for the really thin flowing epoxy.

You could probably cast it in acrylic too.
