After downloading the software I opened up the app and got a get ZD table failed. I could not find any info on what I need to do to fix this. Do I have the wrong version of the software? Is it a fault in the manufacturing? Is it really a simple fix and I overlooked something? Please help
Hi, ntsuflame. Thanks for posting on the SparkFun forums.
What operating system are you using? Have you tried a different OS? Different computer?
Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the software?
What USB port type are you using? According to the manufacturer’s website it looks like it is only compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0:

It might also be worth it to contact eys3D for assistance. I believe that they have been responsive with SparkFun and our customers in the past and it is definitely worth a try:
Thank you for replying. I have USB 3.0 and I tried all my ports as well as reinstalling the software. I think I found the problem though. I think the function getZD table ( or something like that ) is trying to call eDepthPresence_EX8029.prj file. I opened it in visual studio, per the user guide, and it has what appears to be the all the data needed to to compose the ZD table. At least I think because it is also found in the html files. I have also contacted the company but I think I need access to the code to fix that problem. For now, I will try and find a different way to access the cameras, maybe in processing. I don’t really know html that well ( Damn it Jim, I’m an EE undergrad not a CSC undergrad!)
ntsuflame, I am happy to hear you are making progress. Thank you for sharing this information with myself and the community. We really appreciate it.
I too am not super familiar with html and I wish I could guide you in the correct direction. On a moral support level, you are doing a great job figuring the issue out! I hope that eys3d can get you the support you need soon as I am sure they will be able to assist better then I can.
If you need anything else, let me know.
I wish you the best with your project.
