I connected an FTDI basic 3.3v to an Esp32 tx and rx pins.
It works if the usb device has its own power.
But i tried to read data from a GPS mouse. That needs poer from the usb cable.
I notized that its led was fainter than when hooked to a pc.
I presume the Ftdi basic will supply the vcc voltage to the usb power pin.
The device then get a too low voltage.
If i give the Unit 5 volt on the vcc, will it still give 3.3 volt on the ttl pins?
Eg, not burn the ESP32…
But feed the usb power pin with 5 volt?
