Games controller mounting

I am trying to build a games controller. How does the one in the link work, I think the plastic case has bits that can be pressed, and they press the buttons, but how do I create something like this?

What link would that be?

www.lmgtfy.com ?

Sorry, I put the link in now, but do not be sarcastic, it’s not helpful, I just forgot, I find it insulting, and I am getting fed up with it. Not funny.

I think if you need to ask “How can I create this,” you should find another hobby. Especially with all the information from the link you provided. From the threads and posts you’ve created, you are asking the most basic questions that has no one answer. If you want to know how bluetooth works, than Google “How bluetooth works”. Just don’t look at the pictures, you are going to have to read just like you have to read these posts.

I admit I'm a beginner, so please stop telling me I'm stupid, I am asking a question, can you make a gamepad like an snes controller without 3d printing, and if so, how do I get the outer plastic shell to touch the inner button?

I am a beginner, I am new to this, I am NOT stupid, and I am not trying to get people to make a games controller for me.

Google does not like lots of words, so if I search for: how to build a gamepad with buttons that are pressed by the outer plastic shell, I will not get any useful results. And I am on page 4 of a search for diy gamepad and so far nothing helpful.

bradwiggo: Are you a troll?

You’ve started several threads that have gone nowhere but in circles.

No, I am sorry if I seem like one, I am a beginner, and I am very offended to be called a troll, I am just looking for advise, as I can't find the answer to my question on the Internet.

P.S. It’s not my fault my threads go in circles, it’s because people are arguing with me!

What’s not to understand? It’s a link to a very good MIT coursebook on mechanical design. You asked how to do it. Somewhere in Slocum’s excellent Fundamentals of Design course it will be explained.

If nobody just wants to help me then I will just have to give up, I thought this was a hobby with a nice community. I am new, but people don’t understand that.

Which part do I want? BTW my statement about people not helping does not apply to you, you are helping, thank you.

I am just looking for advise

And we have given you advice. But, instead of taking that advice and doing something with it, like asking questions based on that advice, you have ignored them. What electronics experience do you have? What experience do you have with building? Have you ever built anything (including legos and the like)?

That very link is there for the purpose of showing you that. Click the links on the left of the top paragraphs to get to the juicy parts (assembly).

Granted, making the buttons they do with some sort of rubbery 3d-printing stuff. And that is something that you do not want based on a earlier post in this thread. So instead, find scrap pieces of plastic or wood and go crafting with a knife/hacksaw/file/sandpaper/bandages, or mold something in the shape that you want from mold-able plastic ([even sparkfun carries something like that). Make sure the have some sort of collar so they don’t fall out from the holes you drilled into the front-plate of the housing/box.

If that does not answer your question then you need to wonder if what you write is fitting with what you want to know. We are not psychic. We do not know what you want.

Oh, and learn by example taking stuff apart. So get a cheap 2nd hand worn out controller and see how the big manufaturers made the mounting mechanisms.](Polymorph - 250g - TOL-10950 - SparkFun Electronics)
