Hi. I’m just getting set up with my new GeoChron, and I can’t get it to recognize SD media > 512Mb. Has anyone else had success with 1GB or even 2GB SD cards?
Thanks

I found this in on a [product page:
The BGT-11 can record up to 2GB of tracks on a SD memory card. Please use only Transcend 1GB and 2GB cards, and Sandisk 512MB,1GB and 2GB cards. These cards are rated at 2.8v. Other SD cards work on 3.3v, and therefore don’t work with the BGT-11.
Maybe the same is true with the GeoChron?](http://www.storagedepot.co.uk/Handheld-GPS/sc893/p75.aspx)
I have a 2GB SanDisk which did not work. My 2GB MMC card, did work.
Update: My GeoChron works fine in mode0, but I haven’t been able to get it working in mode2.
I was able to get my 2GB SanDisk SD card to work with the unit by reformatting it in a digital camera. It is possible that the card had been formatted FAT32 as opposed to FAT when I had my initial problems with it.
My SanDisk 2GB card died not long after I began using it in the geochron. It won’t take a format now, and I am going to RMA the SD card. Has anyone else had problems with data loss or corruption of date with their GeoChron?
I am using a SanDisk 1GB card now, but it’s acting strangely as well. Sigh.
Is there a firmware upgrade available for the GeoChron yet?
