Hi,
I got this error message after connecting the Lilypad Arduino 328 Main Board with the RGB and Gesture Sensor APDS-9960 following the hookup guide from SparkFun and running the example code Gesture Test.
"Something went wrong during APDS-9960 init!
Something went wrong during gesture sensor init"
Could you please provide any hint on how to solve this? Thanks.
I noticed that the 328 main board does not have Voltage Regulation. And gesture sensor restrictedly works with 3.3v. Any suggestions on how to solve this?
Hi mutiany,
I would recommend that you power the LilyPad Arduino 328 Main Board with 3.3V since it can work between 2 and 5V. The easiest way to do that would be to power the board directly through the serial header with something like the [SparkFun FTDI Basic - 3.3V or the [SparkFun Serial Basic Breakout.
If you already have a 5V FTDI from SparkFun, you can adjust the operating voltage of the board to 3.3V by switching the jumper on the back of the board.
