Been a while since I did much with electronics (on my own time). I was the recipient of one of the Arduino Pro Minis at the Sparkfun Q&A at DragonCon last weekend in Atlanta, and just received a pile of other stuff to go with it to see what I can make it do. I have some ideas… one, a controller for a crossing gate on a model railroad (detect the train, lower gate and flash signals, raise gate when train passes or after a time-out such as if the train stops short of the road). Also recently cherrypicked a few things from the closeout bin of NightFire kits at a local Microcenter… building one of those now (breadboard power supply, uses a LM317T).
Off to the races!

Still some quirks to work out, but I’m well on my way.
