I’m a computer science prof at CU Boulder and a musician on the side.
I’d like to use SparkFun products to build some unusual instruments.
What’s a good product to start with? And where do I find the documentation?
FWIW, I’m typing this from the lobby of your office building right now. I’d love to leave with the right product in my hands, if possible.
Hello, and thanks for posting!
I’d probably start with our [SparkPunk Sound Kit, although it looks like we may be out of stock at the moment. There’s a guide for that kit [here that shows how to assemble the kit and suggestions for modification.
We also have an add on to the SparkPunk called the [SparkPunk Sequencer Kit that adds sequencer capability to the SparkPunk and the guide for that can be found [here as well as a [theory and applications guide that might be helpful too.](SparkPunk Sequencer Theory and Applications Guide - SparkFun Learn)](SparkPunk Sequencer Hookup Guide - SparkFun Learn)](SparkFun SparkPunk Sequencer Kit - KIT-12707 - SparkFun Electronics)](SparkPunk Hookup Guide - SparkFun Learn)](SparkFun SparkPunk Sound Kit - KIT-11177 - SparkFun Electronics)
