It looks like the Sparkfun starter kit for the arduino is off the shelf. Do you guys/gals have other suggested starter kits for a noob?
By off the shelf you mean ???
This is the one you’re referring to ?

It’s appears to be in stock.
The Inventors kit is in stock too.
Thank you for the links. I couldn’t find those. This is the one I was looking at: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10174
I ended up buying this kit off of Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181021640547?ss … 1497.l2649
I thought it seemed like a good deal, but IDK what I’m doing yet. It should be here tomorrow or wednesday.
Are the tutorials that come with these kits good enough to get me on my way or should I try to find additional resources?
I don't know about the one you got, usually the tutorials seem to be OK. The SIK one seems to have a couple of goofs that catch a lot of people ... it "pays" to read the comments people have made on the product page as the goofs get attention and are answered/fixed. And of course there's always a forum or 5 that can help.Patch-n-Dixie:
