Getting Started with: GainSpan WiFi GS1011 - Wireless Module

For my project I want to:

a. Connect to a secured wifi network

b. Connect to a database on the internet

c. Pass data such as GPS co-ordinates, text, and images

So I bought the Gainspan WiFi breakout board GS1011 from Sparkfun (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10505). I have been looking through the AT-commands and I am really confused as to how to even get started.

I have gone through the entire sheet making notes trying to figure out what to do.

I mean like I’ve spent several hours reading this and I’m not making progress.

I have attached the commands.

Could someone please help point me in the right direction.

Not sure if this will help, but am also doing the same. Currently modifying a library that should work for both Arduino (with Gainspan connected to Serial0) or the chipKIT Max32 with the gainspan connected to Serial1.
