Hi,
I’am new to this but after recieving the GM862 we started to get familiar to it. Put 3.9v , working SIM, and statusled on it. No response at all.
The module is consuming 0.8 uA (!) . We test all the connections on the basic evaluation board. Also the serial interface gives no response.
It looks like a Dead on Arrival to me, or do we missing something?
Thanks,
Max.
i am assuming that you are sending it the AT comand and not getting a response. In that case, It may be just waiting for a right command, may be you check your baud rate? I dont remember any startup specific ssues with it.
what demo board are you using?
I’am using the basic evaluation board from sparkfun.
I presume the module is starting to try connecting with the provider.
Checked baudrate etc.
No response from serial…
I simplified the test:
-
Only power 4.0 volts
-
Xbee modules, running on 3.6v so no level problems connecting RX/TX only
-
Baudrate =4800 (factory setting)
The module doesn’t responde on the AT command. No responce at all.
Checked with our logic analyser…no signal at all.
current is much to low should be 22-25 mA (idle) and is less then 1 uA.
I am afraid this module is defect.
