A few weeks ago, I bought a SparkFun MicroMod Asset Tracker Carrier Board that comes with the MicroMod Update Tool(https://www.sparkfun.com/products/17272). I also bought a GPS/GNSS Magnetic Mount Antenna(https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16432), LTE Antenna (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16432) and GNSS Chip Antenna Evaluation Board(https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15247).
Before using SparkFun MicroMod Asset Tracker Carrier Board, I have read all the documentation such as the Hookup Guide and other documentation provided on the SparkFun website. To help me use the Carrier Board, I also followed the MicroMod Update Tool Hookup Guide tutorial with the following link:
https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/mi … ware-setup.
I have also followed every step that has been directed, starting from installing the m-center, to using the m-center application.
I am using the m-center application and the Carrier Board with GPS/GNSS Magnetic Mount Antenna already connected to the Board. The Carrier Board has connected to the m-center application according to the steps instructed in the guide. Then, I performed location tracking according to the tutorial directions found on the SparkFun website. The test was done outdoors on clear skies with the antennas pointing up. I also checked with my phone (Google Pixel 3) for GPS signals and there were plenty.
After numerous trials I did not get location information. Apart from that, I also tried to replace the antenna using the SparkFun GNSS Chip Antenna Evaluation Board, and got the same result as before, not getting the location information. I also include several photos as evidence of failure in tracking the location.
Note: on m-center it says “No Operator” because I don’t activate LTE-M or NB-IoT signals. The datasheet also shows that using GNSS does not require an LTE-M or NB-IoT signal connection.
What should I try and what should I do to solve this problem? Did anyone experience something similar?
Edit: I am located in Jakarta, Indonesia
