gold phoenix and DRC

I was looking at the GP site and they call out 8mil (.2mm) min clearance. Since .2mm is really 7.843 mil, why doesn’t the batchpcb DRC just use that min? It would save a bunch of headaches in modifying library parts.

While we were waiting for BatchPCB to get up and running, we did a batch directly with GoldenPCB and they were prompt, good to work with and awesome… but we had shorts everywhere on boards that were designed to 8 mil. 8 mil is the spec, but I would not rely on it particularly for ground pours. The batch PCB DRC is more conservative and not unjustifably so…

Yep - the min is still 8 mil. Feel free to work directly with GP if it makes sense. Tell em we sent you! But if you need less than a full panel, BatchPCB is there for you.
